Pop the bubbles! Pop, Pop, pop, pop pop....

When I am really cranky with blocked nose or a tummy ache or a disturbed sleep and when nothing consoles me, this is the one dad uses to comfort me.

I love chasing and popping bubbles.

I learnt a new song on popping the bubbles while counting up to 20.

"Pop the bubbles, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, POP! pop the bubbles,
1-2-3-45-6-7-8----------9-10-11-11141116118=19120
POP the bubbles!"

What do you do when your babies are cranky?

Count down to 2.

Yipppeee!!!  I am a month away from my 2nd birthday. I am growing up.
Mom started writing down plans for my birthday.
Don't know what's in it :)

Shake, shake, shake, milk shake shake shake

Now a days I get milk shake every evening.

I don't like to eat fruits so mom does her magic and gives me yummy milkshakes. I love milk.

Chikoo milkshake, Apple milk shake are my favorite. I enoy every sip while mom sings shake, shake, shake , milk shake shake shake

What's your favourite milkshake?

Orange it is! Still.

Do you remember what I said about the colour orange some time back?
No? let me route you to the post: http://goo.gl/qrJ4oO

Even after months, orange is still my favourite colour.
I got this balloon at my friend Dia's 2nd birthday party.

How many? Count with me!

Here is another beautiful simple song to help you learn counting. I love it as they show animals, shapes and pictures and teach counting. I like the music too. Don't you love it when you see a good theme based song?

Who likes shopping?

We usually go to Bangalore Central for shopping. I like the place as it has many colors, open space and is very bright and nice. Dad let's mom go to shop while I do a little exploring on my own. here we are in the dresses section finding something nice for mom. I love my yellow dress and the shoes are superb combination. What do you think?

Well the staff are courteous and friendly too. I am already liking this bit, I mean shopping and am sure dad won't mind at all. Off late, I am choosing most of the stuff we buy :)

So what do we do once mom comes back? We all go to the counter and pay. I love the part when dad or mom sign off on the chargeslip. Many times I take the pen off and put in my initials :)

Day-O The Banana Song

Mum found this beautiful song for me and I love it. It is a simple song with some nice actions and I imitate them comfortably. I love to see the way the they enjoy the music, rhyme and the words. I am sure you will like it too. Share some of the rhymes your child likes with me too.

God will make a way

He works in ways we cannot see...
He will make a way.

Sleep time

It is 3 AM. I am restless. I think it is too hot. Dad is resting next to me. Mom is hidden in the blanket as she feels cold. Dad and me are alike in many ways. We both want the fan to be in full speed all the time. Not that it is too hot, I am moving around and woke up dad. Mom had a long day and is trying to catch up on sleep. So dad takes me on his shoulders and brings me to the living room. This is our routine everyday. I sleep on his shoulder while he stroll in the hall instead of the bed humming some lullaby. I love to fall asleep on his shoulders.

Mom tells him he is pampering me and it is difficult for her to do the same after a tiring day as I am used to sleep on his shoulders. I think she is right. Both of them pamper me :)

Ain't it a blessing to have loving parents? Thank you Lord for mum and dad.

Where are my cartoons?

You know I like cartoons.
Who doesn't?

I am upset because none of the cartoons I like are coming on TV!
How dare they change them?
Special Agent OSO, Jungle Junction, The hive and many more!
I miss them all. Mom tells me that there is a revamp of channels and they have become paid?? What is paid? What do they want? Some of my toys? Have to speak to dad about them and negotiate may be.

Mum has mailed Disney Junior and they have responded saying they will be back soon. I hope they are going to come back.

Halloween

I am too small to get dressed up in Halloween costume. While the celebrations are slowly coming up across Bengaluru, it might be long before we have this tradition in full swing. Dad feels that schools on the other hand are trying to emulate and embrace the system. I don't know if I will like it when I grow up and will I decide to go door to door trick or treating, I would have to wait and see. I don't mind showing off my halo though.

Do you like your children to celebrate all the festivals? Share your Halloween costumes.

Spilling, eating, playing

Are you strict with your child's eating habits?
Do you fuss if they pick up something off the floor? Of course I am not talking about cleanliness.

It is funny how parenting can make you more patient. Dad and mom let me eat on my own sometimes and let me experiment things. Here I spilled a bowl of puffed rice and mom let me play and see how I pick things up and put them to my mouth. I love playing with things that are tiny and are in different shapes.  Do you see the paint brush in my hand and my friend buzz bee?

Try allowing your children to play and learn on their own. Ya. Keep the floor clean always. Send me some pictures of your kids eating, playing, spilling and learning on their own.

Diwali time

It is Diwali and everyone outside is playing with crackers. We decided to let our caution to the wind and smoke (as the situation suggests) and venture out for a small drive with mom and dad. Mom wanted to see some crackers and flower pots. We went around for some 10 kms and came back. I saw some nice people dressed up in all festival colors and cleaning the streets, some just blasting away to abandon, some giving crackers to poor kids and it was an amazing night. Do you burst crackers? Do you share your happiness with others too?

Stay safe and be careful when you play with fire. See what I am doing? I am ready :)

Thank God for balloons

Thank God for balloons. I recently discovered them and fell in love with them. Mom has got me so many colors and I get one every day. They are so soft, round and fun to play with. I just love chasing them, hitting them, kicking them and bouncing them. It is these simple things that keep me busy.

Dad is already worried that I have just one more year left before being pushed into the dead tiring system of routine classwork and studies. Hopefully I would enjoy that too. Okay, time to go and play. Just for fun, buy a balloon and play with it. No, not for your child. For you.

My first Barbie Doll

Look what I found while exploring my cup board.

BARBIE

Mom hid it from me for last 8 months as she wanted me to play with it when I grow up a little. This has been presented by Sudha aunty on my birthday. I found it interesting as I have no such dolls. I liked it's hair. I am playing with Barbie now.

Dad feels Barbie, as a toy, doesn't give a real picture of a woman but mom feels I should play and then learn on my own. Mom won :)

Food Food

Now mom's work is reduced to half as I eat the same meal prepared for mom and dad.
I am growing up. She prepares special evening snacks and breakfast though. What do you eat? What is yoru favorite dish?

My new ABC Floor Rug

Howz it? Liked it? I liked it too. My new Floor mat.
I love alphaets so mom bought it for me to play with.
I use it on floor when not in use mom hangs it on wall and it looks fab.

Busy box: Peel and Paste - Sticky Notes

I am giving a tough time to Mom. I am growing up and learning so many things while I explore.

Mom says I am not exploring but exploding the house. She loves it. When she has some important work to do without my interference or without having tension and attention, she keeps me engaged in many things. This is one of those activities.

There are so many colourful sticky notes at home. She sticks them on the floor, wall, chair , ward robe or in my busy box and leaves me to play. I decide if to peel them or stick them again. I enjoy doing this but don't ask mom the after activity work. She cleans them  patiently :).

Let's start play

Everyday morning dad cleans up my living room and sets my toys up in a stack before the maid comes for cleaning. I leave my toys all over the place before retiring to bed early morning. Sometimes I wake up again to play. Dad's morning routine has changed after instated walking playing and throwing things around. He likes doing it. Mom relaxes in the morning as she has to mind me all day and run behind me. Dad is slightly more handsfree type and let's me explore more comfortably.

Here is a rare shot of my room clean and all set to start playing for the day. I don't get tired easily and am really good at keeping myself busy. Dad makes breakfast (easy ones), gives me snacks and milk, tea and gets ready and once mom is up we both bid him good bye and return to play again.

How do you start your day?

The 2 AM Pancakes

Mom is tired and down with cold since a week and as she doesn't take medicine it is even more tiring to run behind me. I didn't eat food last night and ate some nice snacks which were not filling enough. Dad takes me on his shoulder and goes for walks around the house to lull me to sleep and I love it. I suddenly got up today and was hungry at 2 AM and  was cranky. Mom understood what I wanted and prepared these mini dosas for me at 2 AM and this wonderful little dal for me to have now. I loved it when she was singing to me while making me all these and I was cranky and resting on dad's shoulder. She has amazing patience and loves me a lot.

Love you mummy for the wonderful dosas and lots of love. Thank you. When I grow up I will make some nice pancakes for you too :) Dad! Will you click a pic then too?

Happy Independence Day

I am born in a country which got its freedom 68 years ago this day. I am born in a country where freedom of its citizens is protected as a right in the constitution and I am proud to be born in this country. We are a deeply passionate, proud and patriotic nation and we love freedom. Here is saluting the numerous freedom fighters who laid their lives during and after the freedom struggle, here is wishing the families of soldiers who spend time away from their families and wont hesitate taking a bullet for me, here is to the numerous teachers, farmers, public servants who toil to make this nation better in a small way.

Thank you Lord for blessing our nation with freedom and giving us peace. Here is to celebrating freedom. Vande Mataram.

Do you like this special dish mom made for me from The Kitchen Story?

Play time @ 3AM

See how many toys I have? Or do you see how much havoc I can create in the living room? I love spreading all things around the hall and going around playing with all of them till I get tired. I like the small sized toys which fit in my hand and I like playing with boxes, baskets, steel items and anything that goes in my path.

This pic is taken at 3 AM and dad was watching over while mom was resting. And mom wakes up and plays with me till dad goes to work. I am a handful and am too busy all the time, especially at the night :)

The picky eater

I am a picky eater and mom tries to bring in a lot of variety to make some interesting dishes so I would eat. Sometimes I would, some times I won't and she is untiring and unrelenting. Sometimes she churns out some traditional recipes and I like them. This kesari baat came up as a low sugar proteinacious food and it was yummy. It was awesome.

What do you do if your kids don't eat?

The Little Tigress and Paper dosa

I am growing tall and have managed to reach as tall as this paper dosa. Dad clicked this just to show how big I am vs the dosa :)

Simply an eye turner this is just very thin and serves two! Our dinner for all three today :)

Don't play with food? Shouldn't we?

My new shoes

Good bye summer and welcome rains. I love rains and am really excited to get wet in the rain. I am doing good and am growing up so tall that dad had to get me some new shoes.

Some shopping experience it is. He is very picky about shoes and so is mom. As mom and me couldn't go shopping he went on our behalf a was sending pictures of all the ones he liked by whatsapp and left the final choice to mom and me. I liked these and got them. Walking with them is nice but I miss the sounds the old ones used to make. Dad said he will get me many more pairs soon.

One step at a time and I am running already! Granpa called and was overjoyed when I spoke to them in words they could understand.

Do you like my new shoes? Let me know. Love you all and good night :)

Two little fishes and their New home

Some of my toys are being given away!

There is this cute little girl of 8 months who has just three pebbles to play with. Dad buys her chocolates and other snacks and she smiles whenever she sees dad. Today dad clicked a nice picture of her playing and showed to mom.

Mom came up with this idea of giving her some toys and dresses and I agreed :) here are two of my favourite fishes from my bath collection that are going as a small gift to play with little Naga Lakshmi. I hope she likes them and they take good care of her.

Today is Sunday and in church pastor Younus mentioned about loving your neighbour as yourself. I am too young to understand any of this but I am glad I have mom to show me the right way and share my blessings with other people.

What do you do with your toys and dresses once you have outgrown them? Why don't you share them with others who would love them like a prized possession? Go little fishes and spread my love and joy in another home where another little angel is waiting for you.

Kicking cold, the Tigress way

I am down with cold for the last two days and am running high fever. That doesn't mean I am moaning or nagging mommy and daddy to care for me. I am a grown up girl and have amazing patience and perseverance in handling problems. Dad says he is proud of me and mom says I am very brave and strong.

Now you know that mom and dad don't medicate me often and let the illness stay and let my body fight on its own. As my fever didn't come down in two days dad decided to give me some 1 ml of Calpol to bring the temperature down and some T-minic to stop the nose irritation. With some nice oil massage and hot water bath my fever was brought under control. I was too weak to play or go running around which I love to do.

Nanamma called and prayed for me and applied oil and I am fine by God's grace.

When dad used to come down with fever nanamma used to give him mutton stock or hot chicken soup and dad tried that on me when I was about eight months old and it worked! Since then you know what my favourite medicine is!

Some hot mutton stock mom prepared along with some hugging and keeping me warm brought me right back up. I am back to playing with ally toys which I missed in the last two days and as dad types this for me I am playing and singing rhymes with mom.

Thank you all for your love, affection and prayers. Peace and the Lord's blessing be with you and your family.

Zoutons.com is here to stay

Look, what mom has to say about Zoutons.com. She says it is going dominate all the internet websites on deals and offers. She says she has got great deals on my toys and clothes. Read on in her own words.

I am an online shopping enthusiast. Whenever I want to buy a product I open many windows, open all most all online shopping sites and look for the best deals. This is time consuming, complicated and confusing. I have searched many sites and checked if I can get the best deals and coupons at one place. Nothing really impressed me until I found ZOUTONS.COM.

Website Layout and Design:

A very simple and easy to browse website. No jazzy flashy look that confuse you but a pleasing look that will make your eyes not to strain or push you to take some specific steps. I am also impressed with the point that there are no pop ups, or compulsory logins, entering mail ids or all those irritating things. Very simple design, easy to navigate, clean fonts and subtle pictures make it all the more comfortable to browse.

How to chose a deal or a coupon code:
There are more than 100 top stores and more than 125 top brands available on Zoutons which makes it all the more interesting as I can see almost every brand I know available here. Getting the coupon is is a very simple. Click the brand name or store name in search box and you get in a fraction of a second as the website speed is very fast and impressive. If you are not looking for a particular all you have to do is select a category and zoutons will shows you deals and offers brand wise. If you are still not looking for any brand or category and just visited for deals without any plan or agenda, you get the popular deals and brands on home page. This is the best part as it is for people like me who just browse through the sites for shopping without anything in mind.

For now I am looking for some fashion clothing and deals and coupons at Myntra looks exciting. Here is the link for Myntra coupon code: http://zoutons.com/stores/myntra/

Deal and Coupon Code Testing:
If you think Zouton displays offers and forgets about, then you are wrong. Regular testing of coupon codes and deals are being done by the team to delete all expired deals and update new ones. Check here.

Deals and Coupon Codes from Banks:
I haven't seen any other site that gives such an attention to bank deals and coupon codes other than Zoutons. Giving equal importance and placing bank deals along with top brands, top stores indeed is a great idea.

Super impressed with Zoutons.com, here I go to buy some clothing and toys for my baby.
Please do visit, try once and I am sure you will not be disappointed.

My blog my post

Daddy is busy with exams and mom is handling my fan page and replying mails. So I am lending a helping hand. Found dad's laptop unattended and why won't I post? See how fast I am typing? It's wonderful :)

My post coming up.

Early riser

You know I like playing a lot. I mean literally a lot! What you might not know is that I am now following US timings for the playing. Obviously as the Independence Day approaches, dad is worried as mom is tired and I am just excited!

What makes me stay up so late and yet be giggling and playing so early is a mystery to dad and mom. It is not so for me. I don't want to waste time thinking. Let me get back to my play. Good morning folks. Have a great day. I am already having one.

Celebrating the Fourth of July!

Kids Church

Today I went to kids church for the very first time.

I loved it. The wall paintings are fabulous with a huge Noah's ark and Gods creation works.

To my surprise teachers played my most favourite song "the fruit of the spirit" and I joined them with claps.

Dad said he will take me every week.

Do you send your kids to sunday school?

The girl in the RED shoes

I am famous for my red shoes in my neighborhood. I have many shoes but I love these as they are musical and play music when I walk.

I am growing up and they are turning tight. I am going to miss them. We are going to shopping this week to get more new shoes which  fit my feet.

I can reach

I can reach heights now :).

My favourite spot now is kitchen countertop and dining table

Mom is so scared and turned very cautious and not keeping any knives, spoons, forks and glass on them.

Dad is happy that kitchen is clean all the time :)

Rainbow Rainbow

My new love is for the rainbow song. I don't get tired at all watching this song. I even wave the lady good bye and then ask dad to play it again for me. I simply love the colors and the pink dressed lady :)

My little artist - A page from Mamma's diary

A page from mamma's diary (March 21st, 2014)

I was busy eating Bourbon at 3am yesterday, updating Facebook status and checking timelines of friends. I did not realize that my little artist was busy at work. She stood at a wall which is her favorite place to stand and practice walking. This time, she was practicing something else.

When I went and saw, I was all smiles. I gave her a tight hug and kissed. Finally, my dream has come true. The walls of my house got that much awaited look. Sadly, her favorite orange crayons were out of her reach. This is the first time she used any color other than her favorite Orange.

From then, she worked on step stools, cup boards, under the table, floor tiles, bed spreads, toys, the list goes on. All in one day. All these lines look BEAUTIFUL to me.

The best thing we bought her in last few months is undoubtedly a box of CRAYONS.

I remember the following famous quote by Picasso and I promise to put my best efforts to keep her remain an artist.

"Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up". – Pablo Picasso (Spanish cubist painter, 1881-1973)

PS: I don't think I can spare any marks on walls except this cute art

Cold and ice cream

What do you do when your kids have cold? Are they fussy? Do you give them something hot to drink or some thing cold?

I am allowed to eat ice cream, of course when it is almost normal temperature, but even when I am cold. Dad lets me eat what I want. I am not a fussy girl which means I don't keep crying and cuddling when I have cold. I play it cool and get so many compliments from mom and dad. Mom gets anxious when I have cold but dad says it is okay. They don't rush tot he medicine cabinet too and let it go on its own unless I have serious problem.

How do you treat your children when they are sick? Do you rush to give medicine before we start fighting the sickness on our own?

Rava Dosa

My faaaaaaavourite breakfast.

I love eating these dosas in the morning. Mom makes them very thin, crispy and smooth. Edges are crispy and the center part is smooth. They melt in the mouth and is very easy for me to chew and swallow. They are really very very tasty that I ask for more and more.

Here is the picture of one of those mornings( May 28th) when I had Rava Dosa. Any guess  how many did I eat ? :-D

Do you want to know the recipe?
Let me know so that I can ask mom to share it with you all.

Throw and Catch

Throw... Catch! Throw... Catch!                                                 I am playing with Mamma and Muskmelon.                                                                                                                                       Mom taught me this today.                                                       Wanna join? Meet my friends!

Mom and Dad are my best friends. I play with them. But I also have few more favourite friends I love playing with.

Amelia the monkey and Bedelia the hippo - I kick them and hit them. They make funny sounds. We named them after my favourite story Amelia and Bedelia.

Pilloo the caterpillar it runs away from when I try to catch. It's so colourful.

Balu the ball - my first soft football. It's colourful and so soft. This is my first soft toy. Dad bought this for me much before my arrival. He wrapped it like a chocolate.

Tigger the tiger -  I can't change his name now because he is 1928 born. He is like my great great grand father lol...

Tigoo the puppet tiger  moms favourite. It sings and acts for clap your hands song.

And mummy's mittie the teddy bear. It's soooo huge. Dad's gift to her. When mom fought with dad for the first time and was angry , dad brought this to cheer her up. Oh, daddy, you are so sweet.

Dad kept his Mcd collection from 2006 ( that's when the first mcd started in Hyderabad ) packed so that I can grow up and play with them. I will post their pictures when I unwrap them.

Did you like my toys?

Busy Basket

I am so active that you got to look at me to believe. I am very agile, mobile and explorative. I don't leave any nook and corner of the house and finally come to mom for a refill of toys. So once I finish playing with all my toys, I feel bored. To keep me from getting bored, mom designs a busy basket every day for me. The busy basket has many surprises in store. Each of these is carefully crafted by mom and is a mixture of things for me to hold, touch, smell, taste and explore. Sometimes the basket has all vegetables, toys and combinations, sometimes it is the turn of colorful papers, bits, clothes and toys.

With the busy basket, mom can monitor and see hat I am doing and how I am I responding to several colors, shapes and sizes and help me explore, learn and see for myself. I love the busy basket idea and look forward to it everyday. Mom shared the idea on a social networking forum and she got amazing response from kids there too. Why don't you try for your toddlers the same?

Did I tell you my mumma is so creative and all that came from me when I was in her tummy :D

Heads shoulders knees and toes

I love this song since childhood. Not because of the akkas and annas in this video but because of the antiques mom does when she sings it for me. Mom works out with me touching my head, shoulders... and so on and I join her pointing her nose and eyes and so on. She laughs and enjoys more than me. I love this rhyme and thought you would love it too.

Do share with your kids and enjoy. Also share some rhymes you think I would love to watch.

What am I up to?

April was mom and dad's anniversary month and we were all going out big time. I always had thought they were more at home as I was small and might stay so for another year. This month, we were zipping all around the city, going back to mom's favorite places, eateries and shopping. I like a good girl am observing everything and noting down what to buy and where.

I also did my first shopping for a shampoo that is as big as me :) Dad and mom don't specially prefer Pantene but because it is the first product I picked up off the shelf completely, dad got it and my-o-my how big that is! We are going to smell like Pantene for quite sometime :) What have you been up to lately?

Tech-expert

I am an expert in playing games on ipad and am especially am fond of my apps. I can recognise and select over 40 letters in a minute in this iPad game. Daddy has to catch up I guess. The best part is I like to read wherever I see alphabets - it on paper, newspaper, books, hoardings, charts, bills, buses, tv, phone and what not... everywhere.

Dad and mom give me limited access to certain apps on phone and tablets and I caught up so many things that dad is mesmerized. Do you let your kids use tablets and phones? What is your take on it?

Dad believes too much of anything isn't good and too less isn't good too. Share your thoughts.

Getting a shot

One of the bravest things I have done till date is getting shots. With little noise, struggling and tears I can handle shots easily. Well that's what I thought. Not this time though. Dad and mom were vary as I had grown up and can now recognize the street to the hospital and especially Dr. Bharath. I had slight cold as dad had given me ice cream (Yes, I like loads of it) the previous day and was uneasy. So when dad and mom took me to hospital, I wore my white and black dress and was bright.

Once we reached the hospital, I recognized and started getting restless and uneasy. Once in the docs cabin I started weeping. Now dad was holding me and had to request me to stay put.  While Dr. Bharath managed to give the shot, I was so sad and weeping.  But to their surprise, I calmed down after the shot. I remembered that the shot was simply a small prick and I didn't bother and went back to pulling his stethoscope :) I had slight temperature all day but didn't bother mu at all and slept and played like there was no pain at all. Mom kissed me so many times and said I am a brave girl. :D

Do your kids cry after getting a shot? How do you manage them? Dad rubs the injection spot so the medicine gets thoroughly spread and I don't end up with pain. If it still hardens, then comes the ice pack. Tell me your story and how you help your kids fight pain after a shot.

Play time

Play, play, play!
This is what I do all through the day!

How do you let your children play? Free play or a structured play?
I get both but mostly free play. Mom and Dad believe that it brings out creativity.
There are some structured plays like dropping  the balls / shapes in the box, playing a key board etc., which I enjoy too.

Good Friday

Today is good friday, a day that signifies the death of Christ on the cross for my sins and yours and his eternal love for you and me. We went to Church today and I enjoyed the service and me and dad decided to let mom have her worship time. So I slept on dad's shoulder and he was prancing to find out a spot which had fans so I wouldn't sweat. After the music I got up and Pastor Andrew was preaching about how God loved the world and gave his only son to die for us on the cross. Do you know Jesus loves you? I know. He loves me.

We were sitting close to the sunday school kids who were playing with lots of toys and I indulged myself between the message and the toys and games. It has been a long time since we actually could listen tot he Word and I was a good girl today letting mom and dad listen. Have a good friday friends.

Good night. Love you all.

Babycino @ Gloria Jeans

Mumma wanted to go to HSR layout and we headed on this hot and humid Friday evening towards the colony. The streets were sans traffic and it was a smooth drive and we reached Gloria Jeans cafe. Now this was a crowded place and we had to wait for sometime to find some seats inside. Mom had to go out for a call and dad and me tried to make the best of the poorly air-conditioned place.

Though dad didn't like the place as it had many mosquitoes and complete lack of music, we loved the Babycino which was served free of charge for kids under the age of five and had these yummy ingredients - Chocolate and pure milk heated to a mild temperature. I loved the texture and taste but had only a few sips and tried to grab dad's cold coffee and gave some really cute smiles to the young ladies at the neighbouring table who started to wave and smile at me.

But for the mosquitoes, hot and noisy interiors, Gloria would be a better place. So here is to my first coffee!

Nibbly nibbler

Dad says it is a joy to wake up to biscuit powder all around the bed and having half eaten biscuits all around the house. Wherever you go you might find a half nibbled, evenly shaped biscuits in our home. Here is a pic for you.

Dad says it is so cute and nice but I give mom a lot of work in cleaning up which she is just happy to do. I need a clean home, don't I? After all I am all walking, moving, shaking, dancing, exploring and throwing things when I am not playing, reading, writing and having fun. All part of a day's work.

Okay. Now I have to go in to stealth mode and attack dad and wake him up before the alarm. Yeeeeeee... Dishkyion...

Weekend trip to Meenakshi mall

Summer is here and we had been to Royal Meenakshi mall and had a lot of fun shopping. Oh! Did I tell you dad didn't come? Only mom, her best friends (Sudha aunty and Padmaja aunty) and me went to shop.

We went around all the shops and mom was trying to buy me some nice cool looking summer wear. The selection process was simple. The dress needs to be of good fabric, sweat absorbing and no nonsense labels, threads and unnecessary harsh finishes on the inside. Though these conditions sound simple, mom has a tougher selection process than a computer and we could finally buy some 5 sets. I helped mom with the color selection and fashion tips :) Yep, these should be enough for now.

Long time mom had gone shopping alone as dad is always there helping us and couldn't join us today as he had gone out on work. We enjoyed the trip and I was a good girl and took care of mom :) I also bought a train set and some beach toys. We are planning a beach trip soon. Will tell you the plan soon.

Tumbling Tresses

Dad tells me I have wonderful hair. As dad puts it, I have the most beautiful hair in the whole world. Now nanamma has amazing hair, so does mom and now me. Now I have long hair that makes my face look so cute that can make you jealous.

Now when the tresses fall on my face, I push them off gently. Now mom and dad love it when I push them off softly as a part of my games but when I am seriously concentrating and they come in between, I try to blow them away :) See I am learning fast. Dad and mom are planning for a cut very soon and I am getting ready too. So where should I get a good hair cut in Bangalore?

Singng with Tansen

You know I sing very well, don't you?

Today I was watching one of my favorite shows: Akbar Birbal  and when Tansen tata came online and started singing, I joined him in his rendition. I can really hit some top notes and some really cool soft ragas.

Will post my song soon :)

Good night.

I am a little painter

Every kid starts scribbling as soon as they learn to master their motor skills and it is a wonderful journey. Three days ago, dad finally got me some crayons that mom had been asking and I just loved them.

I think there is an artist in me and that artist is already being love by you all. You know I love you all too? Coming back to my drawing skills, I am already a great straight line drawing expert and a scribbler. Mom and dad discovered I am all set to repaint our home and dad has to pay them to paint when we move out but we are just having fun. I love the attention and dad is continuously clicking pictures and shooting videos and telling me I am a great artist and a good girl. What more motivation do you need when your mom hugs you when you scribble on her bag, furniture and dresses?

Encourage my friends to do the same. Uncles and aunties, let your kid paint, scribble and have as much fun as possible as dad tells me it increases the creativity and pure joy is priceless.

Finally before bidding good night here is the video dad wanted to share with you all. How do you like my new hair cut?

Good night.

Vday 2014

Mom says dad never missed giving her flowers and gifts on valentines day. Last year I have got a rocker and this year I got a toy. I liked it as soon as mom gave it to me. Here is the Simba's ball drop. I love playing with dad as we compete and fight over dropping balls.
Dad gave mom a choice to choose any nice place for dinner and she chose street food :). That's why he loves her so much. Mom is never demanding :) and loves to live a simple and lively life.

SIP and SAY NO

It's turning hot day by day so mom wanted me to have some coconut water. She gave me coconut water in a small glass this noon. I took two sips and refused. Not because I did not like but... just like that :-) .
Though mom never  force me anytime to eat or drink, she I think wanted to try this time.
She requested to have some more as it is healthy for me specially during summer. Looks like mom got an idea. She poured water in to another bowl and offered to me.

I was in a naughty mood and thought to play a game called "SIP and SAY NO ". So I had two more sips and refused to drink. Mom changed the container again and I did the same again "SIP and SAY NO".
She kept on changing containers and I kept on having two sips and rejecting.

Finally, I drank a small glass full of coconut water.

Mom is happy and I am happy. I enjoyed playing this game.

Do you or your baby do some crazy things? Wanna share one?

My walker

Here is my traditional wooden walker which dad bought from Chennapatna toys store. Isn't it so colurful and good looking? The colors are natural vegetable colurs so they wouldn't harm me.

I still haven't started using it as a walker but I play with  it. Once I start taking steps ( which I would start any day soon) I will be using it for balance.

Did you read what I shared about WALKERS ?
No? Here is the link (my post on walkers). You would know why dad got this wooden traditional one rather picking up any other glamorous walkers.

30 books in 30 days challenge

Mom and me are participating in "30 books in 30 days challenge" being conducted by 'The BubbleInk'.
Mom loves to read books for me and I love to listen. When I grow up I will read all these books on my own. Mom's dream is to design a nice reading corner for me with hundreds of books.

Dad started reading books for me when I was still in mommy's tummy. I was -4 months old ( Mamma was 5 months old pregnant) That's when I started listening to sounds. I am sure I will love reading books when I grow up because my Grand dads, Grand moms, Dad  and Mom love reading books. So reading is in my genes :-).

Can I share a secret? Mom and Dad went out for a shopping on August 15, 2012 and bought so many books for me (The first shopping for me). But I have sooooooooo many books which are from dad's childhood book treasure.

You know what I read yesterday. "The Magic Toy shop". I will keep updating you on the interesting books I read.

The Magic Toy Shop - The joy of giving

What a story."The Magic Toy Shop" is about Christmas time and the joy of  giving.
Mom reads this story to me many times and I enjoy listening to it every time.

This is a story about Grandpa Cornelius, Grandma Katerina and their toy shop where lives many beautiful toys who speak to each other and play with each other when the shop is closed.

Grandpa and Grand ma are very kind hearted and they gift toys to kids in the town during Christmas time.
Once they fail to make toys for three poor kids and go home feeling sad. They get a great surprise when they open the shop next morning . Guess what ? MAGIC. All the toys work hard throughout the night and make three cute toys for the poor kids. Grandpa and Grandma think that's a magic done by God so they change their toy shop name to Magic toy shop.

Mom says I should learn to give some of my toys, clothes, books, food, time, a part of my small savings and lot of love to the poor and the needy children. She also said that's why she did not celebrate my birthday this time. I am so small and do not enjoy all cakes , Biryani, Chocolates so we have them to poor kids at an orphanage. When I grow up I will follow what mommy and daddy taught me. Love you ma and pa. Hugs.
