Spin offs

Whenever mom makes me a soup or kichdi/mashed delicacies, she tries to remove the hard content to make a separate dish for me and dad. We love those snacks that come as a spin off from them. They taste yum!

Orange it is

I am, you can say to an extent in a positive way, infatuated by orange color these days. I am only picking up orange colored toys, dresses, papers, socks, carrots and so on. I love the color and can't get enough of it.

Mom loves orange color too and this is a riot at home of all orange and neon colored things. Dad is observing all this silently with a smile.

Is walker good or bad for babies?

I am yet to walk.

Mom WAS eager to see me walk. Mom loves to see many kids of my age walking. She was worried that I am still not ready for it. She knows every kid is different and takes his / her own time and I still need time to try walking.

Every where we went, the question she had to answer was " Is she still not walking? My baby started at 7 months or 9 months". Many suggested to get me a walker and put me in it so that I walk fast.

Mom and Dad both are against walkers but still mom had a desire to get one. Somehow, one day she convinced dad to say 'Yes' to order one but the fact is she couldn't convince herself. When in confusion all she does is to sit in front of web with her best friend Google to read and read and read expert advise. She says that's the only thing which would help her combat this stubbornness.

Mom read many articles and one of them was this article( http://www.drgreene.com/qa-articles/baby-walkers/ ) by Dr.Greene to re-assure herself that everything is normal, every baby is different and leaving the baby to grow naturally is the best.

After all once I start walking can any one stop me? Let me enjoy this time of crawling , helping myself to learn to walk NATURALLY. I am not in any race. Ecclesiastes Ch:3 in the Bible says 'To everything there is a time'.

For now, my walkers are my Mom and Dad. When I feel to get up and walk, my walkers help me walk with fun. Holding my hands. guarding me, singing one-two-three-four-five or one-two buckle my shoe, giving me a hug, kiss and patting me 'good job' when I reach my target line. Can the other walkers do all these except singing the same tune. Isn't it?

But yes, as Dr.Greene suggested once I start standing alone and start taking my first steps I will have my push car to walk and have fun with.

We are searching for a classic wooden push car. Do you know where we can get one?

Happy birthday to me!

It is my happy birthday today. I am one already. One year went by so fast that I didn't realize at all!
What an year it was! Thank you for all your prayers, support and love and for visiting my blog. I know you all love me dearly.

So you must all be excited about what I did today. I was given a surprise by all my toy friends who came to my party and got me a wonderful cake. They sang at our prayer and we celebrated with a simple family prayer. Nanamma and Grandpa called and prayed. Ammamma, tatayya and all my mom's, dad's friends called to wish me. I was busy playing and enjoying all the attention. Mom made me a special kitchdi and chicken soup. and we went to see Dr. Shantala to give her sweets. I played with her a lot, which means pulling her stethoscope, pens, prescription pads, torch and so on :)

Mom and dad wanted me to go to an orphanage (www.cfaindia.com) and help out kids there. So all the funds and my pocket money was sent there and I loved it. Mom felt I would understand why we don't have a biiiiiiiiig party once I grow up. You know I will.

Okay about the cake, it was beautiful, tasty and yum blueberry cupcake! All ideas, decoration, color themes and planning was done by mom and that is all another story for another day.

Thank you Lord for blessing me with a wonderful family and beautiful friends. Good night friends!

I smile when I am weak

So I managed to keep dad at home today with my tantrums and fever. Mom and dad are on their toes waiting to see how I respond without medicine. High temperature and my dull demeanor convinced mom who in turn convinced dad to give me a couple of drops of calpol.

I was playing you know, when I got up and my smiles melted their fears down but the temperature was still high. Dad called doctor Bharath and he felt the same as dad and told to wait it out. I am going back to sleep now. I am told my grandpa and granny are worried about me. Granny is praying for my recovery. Won't you too?

Gnite. Time for me to rest and fight with dad. *Weak smile*

To market, to market!

Do you know what is my favorite rhyme these days? To market to market! I love the simple words and the noiseless clean colors and message.

I hope you love it too.

Special agent OSO

I love Special agent OSO. He is so special and funny and helps kids across the world complete several tasks. This program is usually broadcast on Disney Junior channel and I watch it often. I also love palm pilot who helps break down hard things to simple doable steps and makes it fun to complete.

Here is the pic of palm pilot. Dad tells me why he likes OSO! Yes, both mom and dad like it too and watch it with me.

Break down tough tasks to simple steps and execute each one with care and passion and you end up clearing all pending tasks and there should be a beautiful reward at the end :)

What TV shows do your kids like?

Pics are from here.
