Cold and ice cream

What do you do when your kids have cold? Are they fussy? Do you give them something hot to drink or some thing cold?

I am allowed to eat ice cream, of course when it is almost normal temperature, but even when I am cold. Dad lets me eat what I want. I am not a fussy girl which means I don't keep crying and cuddling when I have cold. I play it cool and get so many compliments from mom and dad. Mom gets anxious when I have cold but dad says it is okay. They don't rush tot he medicine cabinet too and let it go on its own unless I have serious problem.

How do you treat your children when they are sick? Do you rush to give medicine before we start fighting the sickness on our own?

I am a little painter

Every kid starts scribbling as soon as they learn to master their motor skills and it is a wonderful journey. Three days ago, dad finally got me some crayons that mom had been asking and I just loved them.

I think there is an artist in me and that artist is already being love by you all. You know I love you all too? Coming back to my drawing skills, I am already a great straight line drawing expert and a scribbler. Mom and dad discovered I am all set to repaint our home and dad has to pay them to paint when we move out but we are just having fun. I love the attention and dad is continuously clicking pictures and shooting videos and telling me I am a great artist and a good girl. What more motivation do you need when your mom hugs you when you scribble on her bag, furniture and dresses?

Encourage my friends to do the same. Uncles and aunties, let your kid paint, scribble and have as much fun as possible as dad tells me it increases the creativity and pure joy is priceless.

Finally before bidding good night here is the video dad wanted to share with you all. How do you like my new hair cut?

Good night.

The parenting advice

Mom and dad believe this...

“Every child should have mud pies, grasshoppers, water bugs, tadpoles, frogs, mudturtles, elderberries, wild strawberries, acorns, chestnuts, trees to climb. Brooks to wade, water lilies, woodchucks, bats, bees, butterflies, various animals to pet, hayfields, pine-cones, rocks to roll, sand, snakes, huckleberries and hornets. And any child who has been deprived of these has been deprived of the best part of education.”

Vaccine time

My vaccination schedule. Dad doesn't believe in them but had to do for me.

How can two drops of watery medicine keep you safe from many diseases?  I don't know but had to go through so much as mom doesn't want to take risk.
So many injections and so much pain. I am brave you know.

Did you get vaccinated? Do you know anyone who didn't?

Injection!

We went to doctor today. Dr. Bharath was good. I grew taller from the last visit.

Two injections. Apparently painless but by evening I got slight fever. I was brave and didn't cry at all. I just smiled :) Dad took a leave today. When dad takes leave, mom is super happy.

Mom, dad and ammamma stayed with me all day. I couldn't sleep on the bed. Dad or mom were holding me all through the day.

Ammamma came up with the idea of holding a wet cloth to my injection. It helped alleviate my pain and slept off blissfully. Thank you ammamma. Love you!

Thank you Daddy.

I love you Dad, choooooooo much. Thank you for being awake all these nights and taking care of me even after having a busy and tiring day at work. I know, all you could get was two hours of sleep.I feel secured when I sleep on your shoulder.

Mommy says you love me more than anything and any one (including her) in this world :). Thank you Daddy...mmmuuuahhhhh.
